Is a Self-Study Period Required?
Yes. NHSA believes the greatest benefit of applying to the initiative is in
the self-reflection gained through a self-study process. The self-study period
is an opportunity for the program to engage thoughtfully in reviewing and evaluating
their improvement process. It has taken some programs a year or more to complete
a self-study.
